You're Famous!
You know all that talk about the news crew that was at Johnson's shut-ins when we were? Well the special has made it to the internet, you can see it
here. If you look closely, you might see Emily at about 42 seconds. You'll also see Robin and Jaime, Robin's in the pink suit, and Jaime's in orange (at about 1:27).
Tip: Right click on the video, click "zoom", and then "full screen". This will make it blurry, but it might be easier to to see Emily, it also gives you a second count at the bottom right. To exit full screen: Right click on the video, and click "exit full screen".
Does any of this look familiar to anyone? We found it on the porch of the cook cabin right after everyone left, so we assumed they belonged to someone and grabbed it.
Also, Aunt Malinda has joined the flickr revolution and has posted her Montauk pictures
here. They are awesome so check them out.
Here is the link to the vacation photo set. It starts at the beginning of our vacation and includes all the pictures I have uploaded so far. I picked out the ones I thought were interesting, or the best. There are a lot of them, so it will probably take you a while to go through them all. I'm slowly working through them. It will take me a while to get them all titled, descripted, tagged, and turned the right direction. But you can see them at the link above now, you might have to tilt though. As for the ones that I've already gone through, I'm going pretty fast so if you notice I mislabeled one, or misspelled something let mw know.
I'll work on labeling the rest of them tomorrow.
Pictures
As I'm posting this, and probably for quite a while after I am uploading pictures, but it's late and we have to be up early so I won't be able to title them or write descriptions until I get home. They also won't be put into the proper sets until later, BUT...you can see them
here. I figure that you should all be able to figure out who and what the pictures are of without my help. Nikky also posted some pics tonight and has gotten a little farther than I have with the titles and such, you can see hers
here. And if anyone else wants to share their pics please let me know and I'll pass the word along to everyone else about where to find them.
Oh, and we're in a hotel tonight in Pelham, AL.
We are about to leave Flora for Montauk, but for those of you still in the communicating world you can still use the comments, I won't be able to read them until we get home but maybe someone else who still has access will read them. See you all there.
Housekeeping
I updated the arrivals and departures list (to the right) as well as the
day by day, and I hope that I got everything right.
Today we visited with Grandma Field and went up to see Aunt Linda, there are more pictures
here. Also, Nikky has now gotten a flickr account and uploaded some
pictures from today.
Nikky talked to Miranda today, and she said that they are all planning on leaving tomorrow morning early. They think that the travel will be okay, and if they run into anything bad they will just take an extra day up.
We are in Flora. We have fabulous internet and I just added some new pictures to flickr, click on the picture from the last post to see the new ones. And...since we have internet mom still has access to her e-mail.
I also wanted to remind everyone again about the recipe shower (and that Rachel is allergic to cheese).
We are in Cadiz, KY. We stopped early at a fabulous Holiday Inn that has a pool and wireless internet and is about a thousand times better than the hotel we stayed at last night. I have taken a few pictures, click the picture to see the rest.
We're are packing up and we should (hopefully) be out of here in a couple hours. Which means that I won't be posting anything new here until I find internet access. If we're lucky we'll find a hotel tonight that provides internet access. And, I have been promised that we will have HIGH-SPEED access when we are in Flora, we'll see if that works out. Depending on our luck we may or may not post pictures along the way.

Also, we got a call from Nick today letting us know that Kerry will be coming after all. He and Sabrina will be traveling together starting Monday.**
Recipe Shower
Just a quick reminder because we haven't talked about it in a while. Don't forget about the recipe shower for Brock and Rachel. And Rachel is allergic to cheese, so try to steer away from recipes with cheese.
Leaving Home
