We're leaving for Illinois on Thursday, should be there Friday night. So if you have anything more to add do it quickly. We should have internet access on the trip, so I should be able to update on the road, but I can't be for sure that everything will work or that I will have time to check on things. We're really looking forward to the trip. See you all there!

As far as I know the only solid plans right now is the hotdog roast on wed. the 7th at the old homeplace. I think plans are in the making for a canoe trip on the 6th, and also Uncle Bill, Aunt Delphia, and Denver's Evelyn to come on the 6th.
We won't be there until the afternoon of the 6th so it doesn't really effect us. But I was thinking Uncle Bill, Aunt Delphia, etc... might want to come on the 7th during the day and then if they want they can join us for hotdogs later. I don't know how the canoe trip would go but if it goes like it normally does, then that would leave everyone free to spend lunchtime at Cedar Grove. But like I said, we won't be there so it's really up to those who will be there.
I talked to Sabrina today. When she gave me her list she said she would be waiting until she got there to buy her supplies. So if you want you can decide who is getting the hamburger buns then. Or you could decide to split it. Still don't know how many are needed so you'll have to come up with a number first.
I think we talked about getting eggs from the Amish people, maybe we can get the butter from them too. Does anyone know who I talked to about that and if anyone agreed to do that yet?

I'm not sure if anyone is checking the older post's comments. Sharon is wondering if anyone would like to take a guess as to how many buns she should bring, she is going to bring the hamburger, sloppy joe mix and the buns for them.

I understand the 7th is the day we are having our get together at the Homeplace. Uncle John said he would mow the property and would spray it with sevin so that there won't be a bug problem. I just decided that we're going to bring stuff for s'mores.
Also, Kim is going to make a blackberry cobbler and will make Pancakes one day.

Today Aunt Doris and Mom met at Aunt Imagean's house. Of course, they talked about Montauk plans. Aunt Imagean will be sending me a "wish list" or in other words a list of things that we will need, in case anyone wants to bring more but is not sure what to bring. If anyone else has been thinking of these items please let me know and I will add them to the wish list as soon as I get the list from Aunt Imagean.
Also, I'm wondering who normally brings electric skillets, crock pots ect... and whether you will be bringing them this year. This way we'll know what we have to work with.

Plans, plans, plans
Mom is closing on the "homeplace" on Friday. She would really like for everyone to get together out there one night and maybe roast hot-dogs. I was thinking that since we won't get there until the 6th and Aunt Malinda and Aunt Ermadean are leaving on the 8th that the 7th would be a good day to have it. What does everyone think? I know there are a lot of other things people are going to want to do, canoeing, Johnson's shut-ins and elephant rocks, etc...
